Your Caribbean home awaits.
Luxury homes, villas, and investment properties in the Dominican Republic — guided by a multilingual Coldwell Banker agent.

Luxury real estate is a trust business before it is a listings business. When a Canadian retiree, a Serbian family, or a German investor lands on a Caribbean agent’s website, they are not shopping listings — they are evaluating whether this person can be trusted with a seven-figure cross-border purchase. Jelena Estate came to Digiflav with the credentials, the inventory, and the multilingual edge — but a web presence that didn’t yet carry any of them above the fold.
This case study walks through how we rebranded Jelena Estate and built the website for Jelena Golubovic’s Coldwell Banker luxury real estate practice — the audience we had to serve, the editorial design language we chose, and the lead flow that respects the international buyer.
About the Client
Jelena Estate is the personal real estate practice of Jelena Golubovic, a licensed Coldwell Banker agent based in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Her focus is luxury homes and investment properties across Cap Cana, Punta Cana, and Bávaro — a market where most buyers are international and most transactions involve banking, legal, and residency conversations most agents don’t handle.
Her unique edge is languages. She works fluently across five:
01
English
02
Español
03
Srpski
04
Italiano
05
Deutsch
Her coverage spans three distinct Caribbean submarkets:
Area · 01
Cap Cana
The gated luxury enclave — Marina, Juanillo, Las Iguanas, Punta Espada, Caleton, Farallon Estates, El Dorado.
11 Sub-Areas
Area · 02
Punta Cana
Resort & Club, Punta Cana Village — established community living with beach access.
2 Sub-Areas
Area · 03
Bávaro
The accessible luxury band — strong rental yields and growing investor interest.
Investor-focused
Her inventory ranges from entry-point condos through nine-figure villas:
Entry Point
1-bedroom condo · “The Loft”
Flagship
6-bedroom villa · Las Lagunas
She operates across all major luxury property types:

The Challenge
Luxury real estate websites tend to fall into two tired patterns: Coldwell Banker’s cookie-cutter corporate template, or a generic “beach-palm-tree” agent page that could belong to anyone. Jelena’s edge — five languages, 13 sub-markets, cross-border buyer expertise — was invisible on both.
The brief
Build an identity and website that read as personal luxury — editorial, international, trustworthy — and make it effortless for a buyer in five languages to find Jelena, understand her markets, and book a consultation.
Specifically, the problems we had to solve were:
Agent vs. brokerage balance. Jelena works under Coldwell Banker, but she is the service. The site had to honor the brokerage brand while making her the hero.
Five languages, one site. Multilingual service is her moat — but most agent sites bury language options in a dropdown, if at all.
13 sub-markets, mobile-first. Cap Cana alone has 11 sub-communities. The Areas navigation had to be scannable on a phone, not an endless mega-menu.
Consultation, not instant lead-form spam. A $3.5M villa isn’t bought from a lead form. The site needed a Calendly flow that respects the buyer’s calendar and timezone.
International trust signals. Buyers from Canada, Poland, Serbia, and Germany need to see testimonials from people like them — in their language where possible.
Accessibility. Many luxury buyers are 60+. We built the accessibility toolbar into the design, not as an afterthought.
Our Approach
We structured the engagement as a 10-week sprint across four phases. Each phase ended with a signed-off deliverable so Jelena could continue showing properties while we built.
Phase
What We Did
Deliverable
01. Discover
Agent sessions with Jelena, interviews with recent international buyers, audit of Coldwell Banker templates and competitor Caribbean agent sites, listing-flow mapping.
Discovery doc + positioning map
02. Identify
Logo, wordmark, palette, typography, photography art direction, voice guidelines in five languages, printed collateral for showings and press.
Brand identity system
03. Design
High-fidelity Figma for home, About Jelena, Properties (with filters), Area pages (×13), Testimonials, Blog, News, and Contact — mobile-first.
Finalized page designs
04. Deploy
Custom WordPress build with Elementor Pro, listing CMS, Calendly integration, newsletter capture, accessibility toolbar, QA, speed pass, CMS training.
Live site + handoff documentation
We work this way because it keeps the project honest. If something slips, we know exactly which phase it slipped in — and clients always know what’s being signed off before the next phase starts.
Brand Identity System
Luxury real estate brands fall into two tired visual camps — Coldwell Banker’s heavy navy-and-gold uniform, or saturated “tropical paradise” agent templates. We wanted neither. Jelena’s practice is editorial, personal, and quietly confident. The identity had to read that way — Caribbean editorial, not Caribbean cliché.
Wordmark & Monogram
We built a confident wordmark set in an editorial serif — “Jelena Estate” as the signature — paired with a stacked “JE” monogram that reads at Instagram-avatar scale, on property signage, and as the Calendly booking header. The system includes a horizontal wordmark for the site, a stacked mark for signing cards, and the monogram for printed collateral.
Color Palette
We built on a disciplined three-color system: deep black for authority, clean white for openness, and signal green that reads as calm, Caribbean, considered — anchored to the shoreline palette rather than the hotel-brochure spectrum.

Suggested: flat-lay of printed collateral — business card, signing card, property brochure spread, Calendly link card.
Typography
We paired an editorial serif (Playfair Display) for display, area titles, and testimonial pulls with a highly legible humanist sans (Inter) for body copy, listing cards, and UI. The pairing gives Jelena a magazine-like personality in the hero and keeps the property-detail pages crisp and skimmable.
Photography Direction
We art-directed a photography system around three subjects: Jelena herself (shot editorial, warm, in-context — not real-estate-headshot stiff), the properties (shot wide, golden-hour, no cheesy fisheye), and the areas (shot cinematically — Cap Cana marina at dusk, Juanillo beach at dawn). The visual rule: show the market the way a buyer would want to live it, not the way a brochure wants to sell it.
Website Design & UX
We designed the home page to answer three questions in order — who is Jelena, what does she sell, and how do I book her — then route each buyer to the right next page from there.
Key UX Decisions
Language switcher as hero element. English · Español · Srpski · Italiano · Deutsch sits in the hero band — not buried in the footer. Her moat should be the first thing an international buyer sees.
Area pages, treated like magazine spreads. Each of the 13 sub-areas gets its own page with signature photography, available inventory, and a one-paragraph explainer. Buyers research by place, not by MLS filter.
Quick Search above the listings grid. Type, area, bedrooms, bathrooms, price — one row of filters, no modal, no reload.
Calendly consultation, not lead form. The primary CTA on every page is “Schedule a Consultation” — routed into Jelena’s calendar with timezone detection. No “we’ll call you back when we can.”
Testimonials by nationality, not alphabetical. A Canadian buyer sees Canadian reviews first; a German buyer sees German reviews first. We surface the testimonial that matches the visitor’s language signal.
Accessibility toolbar. Grayscale, high contrast, light background, underlined links, readable font — in the top-right of every page. Baked into the design, not a bolt-on widget.
Mobile-first. Most property discovery happens on mobile from WhatsApp links, Instagram DMs, and emailed listings. Every section was designed in a 390-pixel frame first.

Suggested: multi-device composite showing home hero on desktop, Areas page on mobile, listing detail on tablet.
Technology & Development
We built the site on a WordPress + Elementor Pro foundation, with a custom child theme hand-coded for performance. The whole site ships under 150KB of CSS and loads in under 1.8 seconds on 4G — critical because most international buyers discover Jelena on mobile, often from an emailed listing.
Stack
Front-end: WordPress with a custom Elementor Pro child theme, modern vanilla JavaScript, and a design-token-driven CSS layer tuned for the editorial typography pairing.
Listings CMS: Custom post type for properties, with filterable Quick Search, map pin location, and photography-first galleries. Jelena can publish, update, or retire listings without touching code.
Areas: 13 area pages (11 Cap Cana sub-areas + 2 Punta Cana areas + Bávaro) each wired to filter the main listings catalog.
Calendly integration: Primary consultation CTA across every page, with timezone detection and automated calendar invites in five languages.
Newsletter: Mailchimp integration with first-pulse welcome in the subscriber’s chosen language.
Accessibility: Toolbar with grayscale, high contrast, light background, underlined links, and readable font options — WCAG 2.1 AA baseline.
Analytics: GA4, Microsoft Clarity for behavior insights, consent-mode-compliant cookie banner.
Performance: Image lazy-loading, critical CSS inlined, no third-party fonts on the critical path, targeting 90+ Lighthouse scores across the board.
Everything is modular. When Jelena adds a new area (a Samaná expansion, for example), a new language, or a new agent to her team, the system scales without a redesign.
Digiflav built the site I wished I had five years ago. International buyers tell me they chose me because the website felt serious — not another palm-tree real-estate template. The Calendly consultations now book themselves.

Results & Impact
We measure case studies on both the quantitative wins (what the numbers show) and the qualitative ones (what the client’s day-to-day changed). Here’s where the project landed on both.
Quantitative
Lighthouse score
Across performance, accessibility, best practices, and SEO on all core pages.
Page load
Average load on 4G across the top-ten pages, measured post-launch.
Calendly bookings
Increase in consultation bookings in the first 60 days post-launch.
Area pages live
Each with its own hero, inventory, and routing — scannable on a phone.
Qualitative
Inbound now arrives multilingual — Serbian, Italian, and German inquiries have grown as a share of the pipeline because the site actually welcomes them in those languages.
Buyer-side quote: “I chose Jelena because the website felt serious” has come up in multiple first calls — the brand is doing the pre-qualification.
Jelena’s team can publish new listings and area updates without touching code.
Her Coldwell Banker brokerage affiliation is now carried gracefully in the footer — honor the parent brand, lead with the agent.

Key Takeaways
For agencies or founders looking at a similar project — a licensed professional operating under a bigger brokerage brand, or any specialist whose moat is harder to see than their inventory — the three lessons we’d pass on from this engagement are these:
Lead with the agent, honor the brokerage. Coldwell Banker is a credential, not a crutch. Jelena is the service — the design puts her first and lets the brokerage carry its weight in the footer.
Multilingual isn’t a dropdown. Jelena’s five-language fluency is her moat. We put all five above the fold — her strongest signal, visible immediately.
Luxury real estate converts to a calendar, not a lead form. A $3.5M villa buyer books time. We built the whole site around a Calendly consultation, not a generic contact form.
If you’re sitting in a similar spot — a licensed agent, broker, or specialist whose brand doesn’t match the clientele walking in — this is the kind of engagement we specialize in. One conversation is all it takes to see if it’s a fit.
